XO Brass 1604s-r Bb Trumpet
I loved this instrument from the moment I played it. It had a core of sound that was more focussed than anything i was used to, and it just felt right.
When I spoke to Musical Merchandisers about playing some of the XO Brass instruments, I thought I would try something similar to what I had always played, the Yamaha 8310z. This naturally led me to trial the Roger Ingram model 1604IS XO trumpet. It didn't take me long to realise that the instrument wasn't for me, although friends had raved about it, sometimes an instrument isn't made for everyone and this was evident... and then I tried this trumpet.
The 1604s-r was such a different instrument to what I was already playing, but I instantly loved it. After having it for the XO Brass trumpet for a day, I was confident to leave the trumpet I'd played for 10 years at home that night.

XO Brass 1624s-r C Trumpet
The XO Brass 1624s-r is the perfect companion to my Bb trumpet; They are such a great match!
I love the presence of sound, and clarity that comes with this trumpet.
As the C trumpet is not the primary instrument in my playing, it's important for me to have an instrument that I can adjust to quickly from my Bb, and this is it. It plays so cleanly, it's not hard for a non-classical trumpeter like myself to adjust to it.

XO Brass 1646s Flugel horn
This flugel horn does everything I need it to; It blends well, and yet can really sing on a ballad.
For the current work I'm doing that requires about a third of the show on flugel horn, it hasn't missed a beat. The intonation is so much better than many of the other flugels i've tried... I'm so glad i made the switch.
